The Philharmonic Society of Arlington invited residents to its "Music of Fairytales" family-friendly concert held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 17,  at the First Parish Unitarian Church, 630 Mass. Ave., Arlington.

This was a family-friendly performance designed to highlight how music brings fairytales to life. Included was a narration of the well-known story "Hansel and Gretal," accompanied by a musical rendition from Boston's Larry Thomas Bell. The instruments in this performance matched the fairytale characters.

The program also featured cellist Andrew Y. Kim, the Wood Division winner of the 2023 Young Artist Competition, performing Tchaikovsky’s Pezzo Capriccioso.
