lockefarmUPDATED June 5: Wright Locke Farm, 82 Ridge St, Winchester, just over the Arlington town line near St. Eulalia Catholic Church, dates from the 17th century and is a nonprofit open-air space appropriate for all ages. 

The farm, which hosts private and public events, has released its schedule for events taking place in 2024. The first to kick off the series is a knitting event for beginners, level 1, scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6. This series is scheduled to run each Thursday through June 27.

  • Beginners II Knitting Series, June 6 to 27 (Thursdays,) 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Almost Summer Photo Walk, Sunday, June 9, 5 to 7 p.m. 
  • Sound Meditation, Monday, June 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. 
  • Summer Solstice Cocktail Party, Friday, June 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. 

The farm's website states its mission: "The Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy builds broad community and seeks to model sustainable practices through active learning, organic agriculture, land stewardship and an appreciation of our historic New England farm."
