Night and Day concert

Shows with 5 groups performing are free to all

Vocal Revolution Chorus of Boston has planned two free family-friendly concerts, both on Saturday, June 1, at 1  and 7 p.m. at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, Arlington.

The concerts, titled "Night and Day: Barbershop and A Cappella Showcase," are intended to "celebrate the ever-changing nature of life: happy beginnings, necessary endings, hope, anticipation, mystery" and so on, a recent news release says.

This event is to feature the talents of five musical groups: Vocal Revolution, VocaMotion, Daily Special, Praxis and Point of View. Admission is free to the public thanks to sponsors and community donations.

For those willing to donate to facilitate future shows like this, the recommended charitable donation is $15 or $20 per person (receipts are to be made available). All those who give $100 or more can be acknowledged as annual sponsors in the printed program (time allowing) and on the Vocal Revolution website.

Vocal Revolution is the men’s performing chorus of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

First Parish is at 630 Mass. Ave.,
