Mystic Brass

Mystic Brass Ensemble (MBE), Arlington’s community brass ensemble, presented its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024.

This took place at First Baptist Church, 819 Mass. Ave., Arlington.

Soloist on Ernst Sachse's Concertino was Joseph Foley, principal trumpet of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and Portland Symphony.

In addition, works for a full wind ensemble were performed in the second half of the program. This show is the finale of the current MBE season.

Audiences of all ages were welcomed for this free concert.  MBE suggests a donation of $15, which can be made in person or online at mysticbrass.org.

According to its mission statement, under the direction of Andrew Heath, MBE explores raw musical passion for the great brass compositions of past and present in traditional and progressive programs.
